Amélie C. G. Henke

Welcome to my site

Calabi Yau manifold

My name is Amélie C. G. Henke.

I started this site to present myself, links and files, especially about my determination: Physics.

Since summer of 2020 (during the lockdown) I seriously started to dig into physics. After I realized that all interesting questions regarding matter, space-time and singularities could only be (if ever) understood when really being approached by math and physics I started some self-studies.

While searching for networks regarding my interests I came across the “Netzwerk Teilchenwelt”. I became a fellow and even further interested in quantum physics and the CERN.

After learning tensor algebra, I started to involve one of my teachers and the school began to support me by their “Begabtenförderung”. I did the physics course of the higher grade in school and soon (October 2020) began to study physics at the University of Göttingen as a “Frühstudentin”.

When the first semester did end, I was given the chance to become an intern in a group of theoretic physics at the University of Göttingen, researching the condensed matter theory. Here I did learn the basics of C++ programming and some simulation-programming and how research groups to interact and work. Of course, also a lot about physics 😉

In March 2022 I had the wonderful experiance to visit the DESY for an internship. Here I did investigate the kinematic effects in Monte Carlo simulation of Deep Inelastic Scattering with Parton Branching Transverse Momentum Dependent (TMD) parton densities.

For the future I am determined to study physics and to receive a master degree and if possible to get a PhD. Obviously in the field of theoretical physics.

On the subpages I will present a CV, some further information and if applicable news.

Best,

Amélie
